If the news about Andrew Luck's retirement is true, it would be one of the three most shocking retirements in sports that I can remember, with the others being @BarrySanders in 1999 and @MagicJohnson in 1991. #AndrewLuck
Of course, what led to Magic's first retirement was his revelation that he had HIV, which shook me and my generation to the core (remember what HIV and AIDS meant back in '91) and Sanders retired because he didn't want to break Walter Payton's career rushing record. #AndrewLuck
But Luck's retirement would be a bolt from the blue, no pun intended. Now I didn't have the @Colts winning the AFC South anyway, but without Luck, they're certainly not going to finish second, as I predicted last week that they would.
Certainly, this news, if true, is a big break for EVERY team on the @Colts' schedule in 2019, because while I didn't have them as contenders (I didn't even have them making the playoffs WITH Luck), they may be the worst team in the AFC, and possibly the entire NFL, without Luck.
