Expired Belief.
I met a man who told me that even though he got on well with women, the moment he thought about asking them out he was overcome with shyness. He always avoided asking out single women he found attractive.
I met a man who told me that even though he got on well with women, the moment he thought about asking them out he was overcome with shyness. He always avoided asking out single women he found attractive.
It was clear that the trigger for the shyness was his sponsoring thought. The thought behind the thought.
So I proceeded to unravel the belief included in the emotion. His belief was that if he was rejected, he would be deeply pained. For him, rejection equalled embarrassment. I asked him if that belief still had power over him today. He said NO.
His belief dated from way back when he was a child. Now that he asked himself the question as an adult, he realised he needed to update his feelings. He was braver than he thought. He was more confident than he envisioned.
My question to you today is which of your beliefs are out of date? What limiting belief is holding you back? Update your beliefs and thoughts because you are more successful than you think you are.
