Yesterday in Canton, MS, I met a mother w/ 4 children who’s been working here for 18 yrs but now faces deportation. We also learned abt a mother who’s not been allowed to nurse her baby for 19 days. These policies of Trump & all his enablers are violent, inhumane & evil.
These sick children who will die if deported are an indictment on everyone who could have stopped it but didn’t. nytimes.com/2019/08/29/us/…
Remember what Dr King said after the killing of the 4 girls in Birmingham:  “They have something to say to every minister of the gospel who has remained silent behind the safe security of stained-glass windows....
They have something to say to every politician who has fed his constituents with the stale bread of hatred & the spoiled meat of racism. They have something to say to a federal government that has compromised with the undemocratic practices of southern Dixiecrats.

Democrats attacking Warren & Sanders b/c they want health care for all is a mistake. We don’t have to raise taxes on the poor or middle class if we repeal the Trump wealth tax cut & the wealthy pay their fair share.
If we stop funding war w/ a military budget that is more than combined military budgets of Iran, Russia, N Korea & China, we have the money.
Why can’t Democrat’s agree they want health care for all?

11:30 PM. hank begins his rounds at the cafe, getting his black coffee and chatting up the cashier. a lovely older lady with two cats and a small vegetable garden that she never stops bragging about (which, she shouldn't, hank muses - her tomatoes are some of the best he's had).
jeff, one of the second shift guards, tells him to keep an eye on the general x-ray room - new hire, he says. young kid named connor, first night alone and definitely nervous. hank promises he'll swing by when he's headed that way. to check in, of course.
