Imagine a room, it’s perfectly sealed, and it’s large enough to hold 1000 people. In this room is a water faucet. One person in the room says it is your God given right to have water, he turns on the faucet and water begins to fill the tub.
Everyone is happy because now they have water, but eventually the water begins to run over the edge of the tub. It ticks a few people off because they are now getting their feet wet, they complain about it to the small group of people watching the tap.
“We can’t turn it off, what if we run out and die of thirst? This water is keeping us alive.” And the water continues to flow.
Eventually the water has filled the room up to the knees and once again the people complain.
“We can’t turn the water off, we could thirst if we do!”

Eventually the water is over the heads of the toddlers and they begin to drown. The people guarding the water tell them “Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family but we cannot turn the water off, it’s keeping us safe from thirst.”
It isn’t long before the water is above the heads of the older children and they too begin to drown. “Please” cry the parents, “turn the water off for our children’s sake!”
“You should teach your children to swim,” they reply “We cannot turn the water off, it’s keeping us safe!”

It isn’t long before the water has overtaken even some of the adults and once again they plead with the small group of people guarding the tap. Once again they are told that the water is there to save them.
Finally, the water has overtaken even the tallest people in the room, there are dead bodies floating everywhere one looks. The water is still flowing.
It’s amazing that such a small group of people terrified of dying of thirst were allowed to drown a whole room of people.
