Following the GW4 in Numbers snapshot I’ve put together a more detailed thread covering ALL 10 games.

😇 Southampton 1 - 1 Man Utd 👿

* Marcus Rashford was poor again, offering little to the United attack and blighted by poor finishing and decision making. Whilst he had the highest xGI (0.76) only 2 of his 6 shots (all of which in the penalty box) hit the target
* Youngster Mason Greenwood was again on the ..

.. bench for most of the game but nearly grabbed a winner after a bending shot was well saved. There is hope he will play more of a pivotal role as the season progresses and could provide great value for money
* For Southampton Che Adams had 1 big chance which was sliced horribly

and the highest xG (0.4) of any Saints player before being substituted
* Goal hero Vestergaard will no doubt see investment after sweeping up 3 points bonus giving him a tidy 11 point return
* Angus Gunn benefitted from United’s lack of cutting edge, making 7 saves for 2 save..

* Man Utd host Leicester at Old Trafford after the international break and things don’t get much easier for Solskjaer with Arsenal and Liverpool in their next 5

* Ralf Hasenhuttl’s Saints have 2 favourable fixtures (Sheffield United and Bournemouth) followed by 3 tough games (Spurs, Chelsea, Wolves)

🔵 Chelsea 2 - 2 Sheffield Utd ⚔️

* Chelsea have 2 tough games against Wolves and Liverpool before a more favourable run of Brighton, Southampton and Newcastle

🦅 Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Aston Villa 🦁

* Crystal Palace ground out a 1-0 win against a dogged Villa side having played against 10 men for much of the game after Trezeguet’s red

* This was Palace’s 2nd clean sheet of the season and the cut price Kelly continues, for now, to offer exceptional value for money with PvA continues his run as the highest scoring defender with a score of 24

* FPL favourite, Ashley Barnes was well shackled throughout and failed to register a shot on target. For the minority that backed Chris Wood it was a further gut wrencher with TAA’s deflected cross counted at an OG

* Those with double Liverpool defence will be relieved their patience paid off with the first clean sheet of the season with Van Dijk sneaking the last bonus point
* Nick Pope was just a single save off (5) earning himself two save points. Whilst Burnley haven’t kept a clean..

sheet since their opening fixture expect him to rack up some well earned save points over the season
* Burnley now face a sensation run of games with Brighton, Norwich, Villa in their next 3
* For the Reds the leaky defences of Newcastle, Chelsea & Sheffield United promise goals

🍬 Everton 3 - 2 Wolves 🐺

* GW4’s penultimate fixture didn’t disappoint with Everton winning a 5 goal thriller against the tired legs of Wolves

* An old FPL favourite Richarlison finally announced himself to the 19/20 season with 2 goals and maximum bonus. The Brazilian was in lethal form with 3/3 shots on target, converting from a modest 0.37 xG
* The modestly price Iwobi (5.9m) scored a fine header and 2 BAPS to offer

..us yet another attractive budget midfield option. A word of caution - his best league return to date is 3 goals and he scored from his only shot of the game
* Moise Keane got his first start of the season and looked lively throughout and rewarding his owners with an assist

* Lucas Digne got returns for his 3rd game in 4 with a late assist and 1 bonus. At 6.1m he offers as much going forward as he does clean sheets and with 23 points is the second highest defensive scorer behind PvA
* Wolves for their part looked tired after their European exerts..

..but did manage to make it a nervy affair for the Blues
* Saïss cancelled out Richarlison’s opener before Raul Jimenez levelled again on the 75th minute with a brave header to score in his second successive game. The Mexican looks back to his best form from last season and had..

* Wily Boly put in another solid display before his sending off in the 95th minute. He now sits on 16 points at just 5m but misses their next game to suspension
* Wolves clearly missing Doherty as an attacking outlet who recently had knee surgery

* Wolves have two tough games against Chelsea and Palce next with City in GW8
* Everton conversely have two easier fixtures in Bournemouth and Sheffield Utd with City a week earlier in GW7

⭕️ Arsenal 2 - 2 Tottenham 🐔

* The Gunners now have an enviable run of fixtures including Watford and Villa in their next two and Bournemouth and Sheffield Utd I’m GW8/9
* Tottenham too have a promising run including Palace, Leicester, Southampton and Brighton
