look i know cops never actually face consequences of any kind so he’s not gonna get fired or anything, but hear me out: let us pepper spray him.
honestly though captain jack danilecki of the boston police department should be fired, stripped of his pension, and charged with multiple counts of assault, malicious release of gas, and inciting a riot.
read that whole thread above. christopher has done an incredible job piecing together that whole violent day from dozens of sources of video. it appears that danilecki directly committed or incited all of the significant police brutality.

this is absolutely wild. first the judge refused the PROSECUTOR’S motion to dismiss and now they’ve taken a defense attorney into custody for arguing that was unlawful.
this judge is out of control.
i personally witnessed over a third of the arrests at saturday’s police riot in boston. none of the arrests i witnessed were lawful to begin with. that they are still holding these people is state violence. that they have ARRESTED THEIR LAWYER is beyond belief.
i’m genuinely at a loss here. i know that our criminal justice system is functioning as designed when it criminalizes & crushes dissent. i was upset but not surprised when those cops brutalized us. i know judges side with cops & tend to be regressive. but this is something else.

i get threatened a lot. everything from neoconfederates threatening to put a mossberg down my throat to neonazis threatening to put a glock in my vagina. but the only people who’ve ever put hands on me, the only ones who’ve actually made me fear for my life, have been cops.
from rural georgia to UNC to downtown boston, i’ve shown up to stand against violent white supremacy and fascism & been shoved, kicked, hit, gassed, and groped by cops.
it’s not just that most of the violent right is all talk. many of them are. some are mass murderers waiting for their moment. but for the most part they know they can just create the conditions in which the state hurts their enemies for them.

The sad thing I realized after researching the police violence in Boston Saturday all day -- watching video after video, frame by frame -- was that every instance of pepper spray was either directly from or instigated by *Exactly One Officer*.
Captain Jack Danilecki used pepper spray in at least 6 separate locations, and threatened it in at least one other; he instigated a melee in which another officer used pepper spray, then after it was done *sprayed the medic tending to the wounded*. (0:19)

Okay, new thread: We're going into A New Hope, which I haven't seen in so long that I will hilariously remember almost none of it. It's a DVD/blu-ray set I picked up on a whim for like $30, because you can't NOT afford the OT at that point. #sithmas
This movie is one year older than me, so to me it's just STAR WARS. I resisted "A New Hope" for a long time because iT'S STAR WARS DAMMIT. I assume this is the revised New Coke edition. Nice bright/crisp picture so far. #sithmas
