- On deployment of PLA, Beijing said it believes in HK gov's will and capability. Meanwhile Beijing will not let chaos go on forever and it wont sit back and watch if situation gets out of HK gov's hand and threatens national sovereignty and security. Basic Law 14,18 mentioned.

- Beijing said the new position for Shenzhen as "pioneer demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics" has no intention to sideline HK. "The plan is in fact significant benefit for HK," the spokesman said.

~ Beijing's spokesman cited a poem written by Mao Zedong（which mocks western countries as flies）to criticise "western politicians making carping comments on HK affairs" - "condemning the police and condoning the radicals" and "constantly instigating rioters"

~ Beijing applauded @hkpoliceforce as a well-deserved hero in stopping violence and chaos, promising to provide greatest support for the force and best care and protection for their families.
