Just to gauge how far down the rabbit hole of social media insanity I am sending myself here...
...Would it be fair to say the most prominent public political battle is between the papers who focused on restoring a small blob of Sensible MPs in Labour and the Tory Party who have very little public support, vs the Brexit papers who entirely created support for their project. 
That is, are the actually existing political parties entirely secondary to a nasty squabble between the right wing press and the Sensible papers, on issues that they themselves have created out of whole cloth. Or am I going properly mental here.
Broadcast current affairs shows in particular are regularly just e.g. a Sun journalist and an MP repeating Sun headlines versus some noisily moderate bellend that even their own party hates.
