Dem’s are unthinking in their quest to reveal Trump’s hypocrisy.
Even when he chooses diplomacy—over the myth that a terrorist ideology can be bombed out of existence—Dems are decrying this.
Like children, they think only as far as his ‘opposite’, even when he chooses DECENCY.

But when anyone becomes fixated—obsessed!—with a single actor, we no longer think rationally, holistically, & even morally. We degrade our logic to the lowest possible function of “do whatever’s the opposite of Trump”, & nothing beyond this destructive, self-limiting myopia.
And no one—even @mehdirhasan—is giving Trump credit for this, even if his motives for peace-talks w/ Taliban were (CHARACTERISTICALLY) unpure. This refusal is likely fearing being called a sympathizer, so they agree w/ his stance, but decry him.
That’s not principle—that’s cowardice.
Principle—especially when objectively verifiable—doesn’t cower or kowtow to unpopularity.
That’s what separates the militantly-honest-Left from the neoliberal-capitalist/personal-fame ideology that encompasses the rest of the spectrum.
