2/ ... a combination of Dallas highway traffic, a big crash and bad weather had inching along to his office for two hours. Pickens couldn’t have been more engaged and engaging, jawing about politics and baseball and tornadoes and my beloved hometown of Buffalo.
3/ When you’re worth $500 million, you can pretty much do — or not do — whatever you want. He chose that day to be fun and kind and present, with some news reporter he barely knew. That I never forgot. #RIPBoone
