On a plane seated uncomfortably next to a very obese man who should’ve purchased a second seat. This flight is gonna suck.
If you guessed, “he’s gonna fall asleep and snore like a lawnmower that won’t start,” collect your winnings.
At least I’m getting some sympathy from the community: people from two rows up are making eye-contact with me, nodding over at him and shaking their heads...

Oh fuck, he’s up. AND HE’S GOT A JUUL. Oh FFS.
(For the record, I have no problem with sneaking a vape on a plane. I’ve done it often.)

I’m a strong supporter of the US-Saudi alliance, but the proper US response is to support our allies when/how they feel they should retaliate, not to feel the need to do everything for them. If you want to help, keep putting economic screws to Iran and sabotaging their nukes.

VAPING STORY: In 2014, I moved to Texas. On the road trip from DC, I bought 6 cartons of red Pall Malls. I’d half-heartedly tried to quit smoking a few times, but I always returned. Working from home, I was up to 3 packs a day...
In my attempts to quit I even tried very primitive ecigs from the mall. They were cumbersome, they hit very weakly, and were often unreliable. It in no way was a replacement for cigarettes, which didn’t need to be charged, tasted great, and always worked when lit.
When I got to Texas, I saw a vape shop across the street from the gym. I had joined Match and started chatting with this woman. We’d set a date to meet up, and I was excited by the prospect—and I did NOT want to be a smoker when that date came around.

A thought on 9/11 from a New Yorker who was there: as time passes and memories fade, let us not forget the amazing job @RudyGiuliani @BernardKerik the NYPD and FDNY did on that day and later. Not many would’ve risen to the task as they did. Their competence gave us strength.
Of so many vivid memories of that day—nearly every moment—something I think about most was watching Rudy’s press conference that night on TV at a friend’s place in Williamsburg. He was obviously very emotional, sad and angry and shocked, but he was sober and professsional.
I volunteered for Rudy’s campaign in 2007. Ron Paul mocked him for his references to 9/11 and it disgusted me—still does.

You will have to’ve been born 1000 times to do anything even close to what Rudy did on 9/11.

His critics would’ve folded like a cheap suit by 10am.
