It is stunning that the @nytimes publishes a fresh allegation of sexual assault by a sitting Supreme Court Justice in the 9th paragraph of a story on another topic.
@jonlovett’s thread is a good history on how poorly the Times has handled this issue from the beginning
@jonlovett It's also very weird that this is a "news analysis" piece in the Sunday Review. Is it an op ed? Is it an article?

I have so many thoughts on why this is bad, antiquated political advice politico.com/story/2019/06/…
1. The fact that the Democratic policy agenda has not broken through is not a surprise. There is no history of an opposition party agenda in divided government breaking through to voters. This is especially true in the Trump media age when the shelf-life of a near-war in 72 hours
2. There is no earned media strategy that will accomplish that goal. It requires sustained digital advertising targeted to a core group of voters.

Here are some thoughts about what Democrats can do going forward: First, don't take impeachment off the table. It's premature and stupid. (also muzzle Steny Hoyer)
Second, get Mueller to the hill as soon as humanly possible to explain the report and then subpoena Barr to hold him to account for his lies and misdeeds in tthe handling of the report.
Third, after that hearing begin proceedings to impeach or censure Barr. His conduct is beyond the pale and threatens the long term independence of the role of AG. It cannot go un-acknowledged.

Also the story is that Trump supports a law designed to prevent lots of people from voting. No one gives a shit how he gets his groceries

A lot of people are confused as to WHY Democrats suddenly flipped from wanting secure borders to wanting no borders. It’s because up till the 1990’s many immigrants were fleeing communist persecution and voted Republican when they arrived legally.
Then a funny thing happened. The Soviet Union collapsed and it’s influence wained. Socialism and tyranny took its place in many cases.
Democrats realized if they offered YOUR money for free stuff to immigrants, they’d be more inclined to vote for them. It was basically paying for votes with your children’s money, but with control of the media, nobody asked too many questions.

2/ The mortgage payments ($4600/mo.) alone were more than what Brett Kavanaugh took home in 2006 after taxes. His wife did not add enough to the mix to make up the difference.

This entire documentary on Israel's attack of the #USSLiberty is must-see, but especially from ~ 36:40 thru 38:00.
It lays out how Israel had at least 4 American Jewish moles in the White House feeding TelAviv info on what the White House knew post-attack
This was huge for the Israelis to know what the Americans knew in order to be able to craft their denial story.
