Ah yes, @RDiManno and @TorontoStar. Quite insightful. #RoadSafety advocates are fighting for *convenience* for vulnerable road users. After all, if planning an unexpected funeral isn't a bit inconvenient, we don't know WHAT is!

#RoadViolence #BikeTO #WalkTO #VisionZeroTO
Our member Kasia sometimes still thinks of how inconvenient it was to be handed her husband Tom's possessions in a paper bag, and then not only have to struggle against crushing grief herself, but also help her two children grieve their father. thestar.com/news/crime/201…
Our member David Stark also occasionally remembers the inconvenience of being handed his deeply beloved wife Erica's clothing, stained with blood. Their three boys, now that they think about it, do find it inconvenient that their loving mother is dead. bayview-news.com/2016/12/driver…
Yes, suddenly becoming a single parent is very inconvenient. That's why we fight against it.

Before you protest Erica was walking, you've overlooked all the safety benefits that traffic calming & #CompleteStreets, including cycling infra, provide to #WalkTO. Oops!😰#Embarrassing
Pedestrian safety is key in every good #VisionZero plan. "Perambulators" DO NOT "continue to fall to the bottom of the pile". Part of the reason cycling infra is so valuable is it protects #WalkTO, too! It decreases crashes at intersections and adds a barrier to stop cars.
Plus, protected cycle tracks are one of the best traffic-calming tools in the #VisionZero toolkit.

We're sure that's an innocent oversight and not willful ignorance on your part. As a responsible journalist, surely you have at least quickly googled #VisionZero at some point.
Otherwise, your behaviour in publishing this dreck when you know victims of #RoadViolence & their families will read it would be HATEFUL, PERVERSE & SHAMEFUL! (Looking at you too, @TorontoStar.)

Let's talk more about inconvenience, though, since you brought it up.
5-year-old Xavier Morgan's family probably had other plans the day of his funeral. How frustratingly inconvenient for them to have to reschedule! thestar.com/news/gta/2017/…
Kim Pape-Green's children and siblings found it slightly inconvenient that she never came home again. But it was definitely more important that there was no traffic calming or protection here, and drivers were able speed around unchecked! barrie.ctvnews.ca/family-hopes-w…
Kristy Hodgson's family and partner found it inconvenient when the distracted driver who veered off the road and killed her got off scot-free. Protected cycling infrastructure could have saved her, but then the city would be upside-down! Can't have that!

Adam Excell's family has probably gotten over how inconvenient it was for their vibrant son to die, because that was so minor. It's not like he was loved or contributed anything worthwhile to society. cbc.ca/news/canada/no…
And here's Jonas Mitchell's dad, totally over the inconvenience of his son's 3-week fight in the hospital before succumbing to his horrific injuries. Imagine watching YOUR child trying hard not to die in a hospital bed for 3 weeks. No big! ottawacitizen.com/news/local-new…
Dalia Chako's baby granddaughter, who she had only just met for the first time, might be finding it inconvenient to be deprived of the love, companionship and guidance of her grandmother. thestar.com/news/gta/2018/…
Meredith Wilkinson admits she finds it inconvenient to deal with having her leg crushed off by a garbage truck driver. She never lost consciousness and remembers everything. Those months spent in a rehab hospital were a little bit inconvenient, it's true. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
Bronwyn Graves found dealing with a broken spine to be slightly inconvenient. 3 months unable to walk and facing a lifetime of chronic pain. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ What someone REALLY needs to care about is the cars!

Our member @JessSpieker also was inconvenienced by waking up in hospital with a broken spine and a brain injury, and then nearly dying TWICE because of blood clot complications. But had the driver who smashed into Jess been slowed down, that driver's life might be ruined instead!
Doug Crosbie's children find it inconvenient that they've gone from having two loving parents and a stable life to being orphans in the span of a year. The cancer that killed their mother Christine is a tough one, but infrastructure could have saved Doug. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
Doesn't the *inconvenience* of it all make your head spin?!
You got it backwards @RDiManno, when you said "they always want more. Because, like, they just do." Puh-leeze. What we want is ZERO. ZERO VIOLENT DEATH OR INJURY.

#RoadSafety advocates "want everyone to get home safe and unterrorized, because, like, they just do".#ThereWeFixedIt
