thinking about life with depression and the people in my life without depression and how many non-depressed people ask "how can i help?" and how i think one of the big underrated things is learning how to check in with people casually, without sounding like you're gonna panic
people with depression are oft gonna clam up and like tell you everything's fine if they think telling you how they really feel is gonna be some burden on you or lead to like some big thing or intervention or whatever

it feels contradictory but knowing how to be casual is huge
you don't need to even have advice or ideas on how to deal with an issue, a lot of the big relief for depressed people is knowing someone is willing to listen but won't go to defcon 1 if you tell them what's really going through you

got told that game informer straight up asked one of the CoD: Modern Warfare devs about "okay but are there politics", and that question following an answer of "it's a very relevant war story" and y'know

this is obvious BS, but it feels different, actually saying the BS out loud
the obvious bullshit game PR sells in text has a very different feel than actually getting to hear them say it, watch their expressions while they say it, and it's also a peek into seeing game reporters showing the exact frustration everyone else feels reading that stuff
just this atmosphere of "i know i'm lying, and you know i'm lying, and i know you know i'm lying, but none of us are allowed to say it out loud, so both of us show 'humorous' frustration on camera"

the more i think about streaming services and how they're destroying tons of creative fields and the people in them but they're also increasingly all most people (including creatives) can afford, the more i think about... car manufacturers

this is connected, i promise
bout 5-6 years ago there was a spate of "millennials aren't buying cars anymore" articles for a while. usual nonsense, but a thing that stuck out to me was that car companies couldn't seem to grasp "people are poor", and instead thought the problem was "people like iphones more"
now, of course, companies and the wealthy and news outlets not grasping "people are broke" isn't new, but i think that chunk of articles clicked something together in my brain, which is something i'm gonna call "phantom money"

Le premier et donc le plus vieux, il date de fin 2009 si mes souvenirs sont bons. Ce sont des initiales, celles de ma grand mère paternelle qui m'a élevée comme sa fille - à la place d'une génitrice défaillante -. Côté coeur. Elle a toujours une place très importante pour moi ♡
Les lettrages, qui ne vieillissent d'ailleurs pas très bien (hormis un sur les deux <3). Ne Zhaley ( Ne regrette pas ) & Ne Boisia ( Ne crains pas ). Une espèce de philosophie de vie qui me correspond très bien. Je vis sans regret du passé & sans crainte de l'avenir.

Those seats in Prince William County, Virginia's second most populous, are a test of the anti-Trump grassroots movements spurred on by the Democratic party and progressive groups.
Of 8 groups, like @MoveOn, @BoldProgressive and @TheDLCC, that made endorsements in VA House races, 41% of their endorsements came to six Democrats challenging Republican incumbents in this county.
