I invoke Terraform Apply, then put the kettle on and grab a good book out of old CloudFormation habit.

That's now how you're supposed to do it, @oraclecloud. You're supposed to leave people wondering ambiguously whether anything worked or not.

This is a pretty well done experience. I didn’t hit any blockers as I went other than the minor 22 hour provisioning hiccup. The console is a freaking JOY to navigate. Are we sure this is an Oracle product?! #oow19
If I build something by hand it apparently will spit out Terraform to do it programmatically.
