1) is not a policy issue—it’s a business issue. @HawleyMO is making a category error. This is not a matter for government.

It’s fine for policymakers to be discussing policy matters, but we have to maintain bright line distinctions between policy matters and business matters.
And this is a pretty fundamental distinction @HawleyMO should know and understand, regardless of where he went to school. Big degrees from Ivy League schools have NEVER guaranteed sound policy—in fact, usually the opposite.
Hence Buckley’s “I should sooner live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University.”
