One step Parliament should take when reconvened is legislating a formal, transparent & apolitical process for No-Deal Brexit bailouts & subsidies.

Criteria could be impact, likelihood of recovery/transition, & importance to local economy, not how marginal a constituency it's in.
I believe the government should use spending to offset as much of the harm of any Brexit as possible.

If you feel such spending is hypocritical from "fiscal conservatives" who promised nothing but upsides... I agree, but don't care.

Real people are going to be hurting.
Obviously, there are limits to what's feasible, in terms of inflation risk, what the market will lend at low rates, and international obligations in areas like export subsidies.

Still, there should be plenty the government can do to help ease some of the pain...
... provided it's aiming to fight economic fires rather than electoral ones. /end

P.S If you're about to reply telling me how the "evil Johnson Government will definitely use subsidies to buy votes", please reread the first sentence of this thread.
