This is what is known as "aspie supremacy." Here are facts: nonspeakers can be intellectually gifted. Intellectually gifted people can have pronounced learning disorders, ambulatory/movement disorders, auditory or visual processing problems, and still need special education.
People with intellectual disability can often do fine in a regular ed. classroom. IQ tests are biased and not accurate for autistic people. Autism and Asperger's are not two different things. The only difference between Asperger's and autism is in your personal prejudices.

Pay attention, because the Usual Suspects are trying to bring back Asperger's as some romanticized brooding loner genius personality disorder. They want autistic "SJWs" not to be able to speak about autism and to invalidate their expertise, struggles, and experiences.
They don't get to take the language of autism and appropriate it to fit a fascist, behaviorist, or eugenicist agenda. Not happening. No matter which word you use, PREJUDICED PEOPLE will use it against you to either invalidate your accomplishments or invalidate your struggles.
They are anti-science, anti-logic, anti-tolerance, and the majority are transphobic, racist, Islamophobic, misogynistic bigots. This is social Darwinism, the same uphill battle autistics have faced for as long as recorded history.
It's the instinct that drive chickens to peck the weakest or most different of a flock to death. Except it's chickens with computers, networks, degrees, labs, and the funding and power structure to run a propaganda campaign.
They don't get to have the words. They don't get to create a narrative to fit their supremacist agenda, even if they edit the hell out of wikipedia and have connections in major news outlets. Autistics are not commodities, prizes, or burdens.
