What would happen if Sisi commits another massacre, on a scale similar to Rabaa?
To the people answering this in terms of what the US will do or what the international community will do, that's not the real question. The real question is what the Egyptian people will do and what the Egyptian army establishment will do.
In 2013, the MB protest camps were clearly and literally MB protest camps with all of the MB leaders. And there was such a wave of fury at them that many people cheered as they got mowed down. It's 2019 right now and no killings today can be spun as "MB protest camp".
Too many people are so used to thinking only linearly and biographically. Ask them what will happen and they'll think in terms of what has already happened. 2019 is not 2013. 2019 is not 2011. Rabaa had its own context. Any mass killing today will be very different.
It's a zero sum game for Sisi. He just met Trump and he feels he has his support. He knows there are many daggers waiting for him in Egypt. He has little to lose. Going for blood is a serious option for him now. Huge protests are planned for Friday.
There can't be another Rabaa because the MB is no more, at least in terms of what it used to be in 2013. Its most visible leaders are all dead or in prison. If Sisi goes for a mass killing today he cannot convince anyone, even in Egypt, that it's a purge of the Muslim Brotherhood
