Here's a bill that's been held up for years that just says that legal businesses in the states can secure access to the financial system, so they don't have to conduct all their transactions in cash. Here I am writing about it in 2014 salon.com/2014/01/08/abs…
It very clearly has majority support in Congress, and has for years. This latest version has been sweetened with some fairly silly provisions tailored for Republican support. McConnell still won't put it up for a vote.
But we can't let impeachment get in the way of all this legislatin'. BTW the House, where the impeachment inquiry is happening, will pass the SAFE Banking Act this week.
