Facts: PG Engg. students have to take 2 audit courses out of 8 on offer. The 8 options are 1.English for Research Paper Writing,2.Disaster Management
3.Sanskrit for Technical Knowledge,4.Value Education,5.Constitution of India,6. Pedagogy Studies,7.Stress Management by Yoga 1/3
8. Personality Development through Life Enlightenment Skills. In this 8th Option there is one segment on Bhagavad Gita as reading material. The course is not on Bhagavad Gita but one segment of Personality Development thru Life Enhancement Skills does teach excerpts from Gita 2/3
This course is one optional & students are not compelled to learn it.Still, in all fairness,if excerpts from Gita are to be taught as an optional should there not be optional courses on books/philosophies from other religions also? For more details aicte-india.org/sites/default/… 3/3
