The focus on agility and variety in the creative classes has also led to many more people working for themselves, precariously, without people to turn to, as companies look to cut budgets by appealing to "gig economy" "freedoms"
There is definite power in slow, pushing back against the destructive ideals of 'move fast break things' and 'hustle' cultures.

I am increasingly concerned
That the very concept
Of common knowledge
Is broken.
The internet dismantled trust in various phases /1
Phase one was back in 1990s
Search disrupted that nature of authority
Because previously part of authority and expertise was privileged knowledge, earned in school and libraries

Search flattened this - all knowledge was equally accessible
Phase two happened in the noughties

Transparency was forced upon companies because suddenly everyone was watching sharing recording

Many (most?) corporations, & politicians were shown to by hypocrites, through massive trust violations

Modern problems:
There’s too much stuff and it all works - how do I choose?

The @colcomfdn is THE money behind the entire anti-immigrant movement. No one has given more to these white nationalists. No one.

Without Colcom, there would be no anti-immigrant movement to speak of.
@colcomfdn The bombshell @NYTimes report from 8/14 traced the dark ideology of Colcom's founder, Cordelia Scaife May, who bankrolled the efforts of white nationalist John Tanton (whose papers I am suing to unseal) in the late 1970's.

Many of Colcom's grantees are part of the #TantonNetwork of hate groups.

Colcom funds hate, and Tiedemann Advisors did the right thing by dropping them.

That’s one (1) drug that puts as many people in a hospital as all shootings. Untreated, acetaminophen is fatal within ≈8 days.

Excited to share this as @DaphneKoller and @insitro start down this path. So much to be done here, and so many patients waiting for effective therapies - all great minds welcomed! Having buy-in from great investors like @rtnarch should be a strong signal to biopharma!

Some things in the first year were fun: meeting like-minded people, the #scifi characters, learning how to take effective action. Celebrating #victories like beating the #ACA repeal bills.

A lot of it wasn't fun - the threats of nuclear war, the daily stress of bad news. 2
Follow parties were fun, and a good way to promote a message and raise awareness, connect with other resistors and grow our followings. They had themes and served a purpose and there was about about one a month.  3 #PartyWithAPurpose #trending #amplify #effective
