Today's arbitration ruling in the case against the EU on Airbus subsidies.

The ruling sets a limit on the impact of US tariffs or services barriers raised in retaliation at $7,496,623,000 ($7.5 billion)

This is the conclusion of the arbitration. Remember, it's only about the scale of retaliation, after it already had been established that the EU's subsidies were illegal.

Note the US could retaliate on services, but prefers tariffs on goods

BREAKING: Two items on today's agenda concerned the problems in the appeals stage of @wto dispute settlement.

According to a WTO official:

1. The US again rejected a proposal from 116 WTO members to start selecting appeals judges to fill vacancies

2. The EU & Canada explained their interim arbitration arrangement for appealing first-stage rulings in legal disputes between them, after the Appellate Body ceases to function without replacement judges (post Dec 10).

This is common but lazy use of quotation marks by headline writers. They assume it covers all meanings from a genuine quote to a claim or accusation. Unfortunately that's not how it reads. Should be 'Govt claims PM's accusers are "politically motivated".'
Another example of lazy headline writing. The quotation marks are supposed to distance the headline from the claim, but written this way it doesn't work. It reads like an endorsement

Episode 3 of “the @BBCNews website needs to look much more closely at its headline writing”.

Here👇🏽 the headline is actually wrong.

Here's what she said: “I am not the woman referred to in Charlotte Edwardes’s column” Totally different.

One of my favourites, comparing Bitcoin as along term investment to other assets over a 4 year HODL period. This is Sharpe Ratio, a measure of risk-adjusted returns. Bitcoin shines above all others.
BTC has great ROI for the risk undertaken, but as every HODLer knows, the price swings you'll be enduring makes you a big wave surfer of the finance world. Here's BTC volatility next to other assets. This is a log scale, we used to have 6x bigger price swings in the early days.
