Trump’s conversations with Putin and with MBS, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, were both concealed in much the same way as his Ukraine call. He has tried to run this government like it is his private corporation, complete with his rules. Enough of that shit. cnn.it/2msEoS3
Ukraine was merely prologue. We have yet to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. The Trump White House was deliberately hiding his conversations with corrupt and murderous world leaders, especially those with ties to his businesses and activities that undermine American interests.
I understand exhaustion, angst, and anxiety. But not apathy. The people who say they are numb to Trump’s corruption are precisely whom he counts upon to stay in power—even more so than his complaint mob. I’d say @Susan_Hennessey encapsulated where we are.
Apathy is anathema to progress, but there is nothing helping keep Republicans like Trump in power quite like voter suppression. They do it because it works. It works so well for them that they have taken to outsourcing it to countries like Russia and Ukraine, and possibly others.
