A Costco rotisserie chicken is the equivalent of "free" trading at a broker. Like the hot dog/soda combo at the Costco food court, it's a substitute for marketing.

Bezos: Once upon a time businesses devoted 30% to great service and 70% to shouting about it. That's now inverted.
Costco sells memberships. Members get a great deal on a chicken and as a result Costco spends less on advertising. Jeff Brotman, Costco’s co-founder once said Bezos doesn’t have to make a profit or break even on services like Prime. “He’s building great loyalty with that."

Very very few people have less integrity than this woman.
Either she’s sloppy and didn’t realize that her entire thesis was debunked by the AUTHORS OF THE STUDY, or she doesn’t care because it fits her narrative. Honestly. It’s just like deeply concerning how little academic or journalistic rigor she possesses.

Once you can get people to admit that adverse reaction to vaccines do sometimes happen, and that no medical intervention is ever 100% safe (which is a battle in itself sometimes), the argument then becomes "you need to do this for society".
The key to making this argument work is making the risk for reaction seems as small as possible, and the risk of the disease seem as large as possible. The figure we keep hearing for the risk of reaction is "one in a million". I have yet to see a source for this number.
"One in a million" recently morphed into "one in ten million" after @PeterHotez said it on the @joerogan podcast. I have yet to see a source for this number either.

People will work for free if you them a title and enough popularity

Prestige is often a bigger incentive than money
To be “known” is a greater aspiration for people than money

Very very few people work purely for money

Rather, they desire status, and money tends to come with status (though not always)
Give people the right titles and roles, and they’ll work harder for you than if you actually payed them more $$

Oh, yes. You point out the link between housing and transportation, and how the cartels managing these two sectors are rogue, and working in tandem.
Let's face it, Matatus dont particularly target those living in abject poverty, or the very wealthy living in the leafy suburbs..
The guy living hand to mouth in Kibera or Mathare walks to work. The guy living in Karen has a driver/cars. And then, there's Uber et al.
Matatu cartels target those living where housing is "affordable", but Uber/private cars are untenable for most.
Most people are forced to move to Eastlands, or the outskirts of the city. Few people can afford to drive daily, or take Uber et al daily from Kitengela, Rongai, Kahawa West. Uber/taxis dont like going to Eastlands & other "unsafe" places after dark/early in the morning...

Every conversation, every interaction with a human being is a sales interaction, often in disguise.

Will tell future son this. Very few sons know this. Will yours know this?
Every person should study and learn sales even if they don't have a physical or virtual product to sell.

Very few people understand that they are a product themselves, and they have to sell it to others.
Think about the most likeable people you've met. They most likely employed one of these three assets to make themselves likeable.

1. Compliments
2. Jokes
3. Stories

These are ways you actively sell yourself, and demonstrate Value via Personality.

But people don't want to talk about intersectionality, so they ignore the foundational role of sexual violence toward black/indigenous women
Of course, widespread sexual violence toward women across the globe predates chattel slavery and settler colonialism..
