1. Whistleblower laws are intended to protect the identity of those who bravely come forward to identify fraud & abuse in government. Investigating their information doesn't require their identity be revealed, unless a criminal case is going to trial.
2. Congress can investigate & determine if there's evidence to support the claims. That's why it's irrelevant if any of it is hearsay. I'm sure @RepAdamSchiff & @RepJerryNadler would be delighted if Trump wants to testify under oath in closed session like the whistleblower will.
@RepAdamSchiff @RepJerryNadler 3. Ironically, Trump seems to be referring to the 6th amendment right a defendant has in a criminal trial to confront witnesses against him. I'm sure that can be arranged if he'd like to waive the DOJ policy against indicting a president & go that route.
