@aminterest However controversial, this argument is worth contending with. (It doesn't seem to me like it should be *that* controversial but my gauge on this stuff is, I've come to realize, a bit different)
High levels of immigration can put stress on the trust and solidarity that undergirds social welfare systems. This is why trust figures more prominently in #Germany than here in the US with our relatively weak and ungenerous social safety net
