My take:
I think part of it *IS* fundamental strength, but I also think there is a distinct low time preference mentality among those who are involved in this space right now.
The bear market really did shake a lot of the high time preference folks out.

Why that's cool?
It means that the folks who are still here are interested in the big game - the idea of a censorship resistant, non-sovereign money.
It means that when price action happens, we still get to talk about the big important things.
