Sondland said that Taylor was failing to recognize how bending to Trump’s demands was the only path to improving the countries’ fraught relationship. Wow.

May 23: Days after Trump raged about Biden/Ukraine on Fox, Volker met with him and Trump spoke of his discussions w/ Giuliani. But he never brought up investigating Biden? Please.
Volker's claim that "at no time" was he aware of any effort to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens is laughable.

NEW: A letter sent to Ukraine's president, signed by three GOP senators, in February 2016 urged changes in the prosecutor general's office.

The letter shows there was bi-partisan support for it at the time, undermining Trump's claims of a quid pro quo.

Viktor Shokin, who Trump and his allies have claimed was pressured to be fired by Biden to protect his son, was the prosecutor general at the time.

Ukraine's legislature voted to fire Shokin in March 2016, a month after the letter was sent.

Republicans seem very caught off guard by this.
There are police here on the hill circling politicians when they come in for the vote, keeping reporters away from them. This is not normal.
An officer smashed right into NBC's Lee-Anne Caldwell who was walking with a senator. Another reporter, who is pregnant, says she was also shoved. Lots of yelling between reporters and cops here, who are clearly blocking reporters from getting near senators.
