In the beginning, I thought that maybe #ElizabethWarren was a good alternative to #BernieSanders.
But the more I learned about her the more I became disappointed and realized that that the only choice is #BernieSanders2020.
- #ElizabethWarren opposed gay marriage until 2010; Sanders has been a life-time supporter.
- She does not call out the fossil fuel industry disinformation campaign
- She does not support banning fracking (queue Republicans and fossil fuel industry cheering)
- #ElizabethWarren voted for Ben Carson to head HUD; later flipped after backlash from constituents.
- After Donna Brazil book came out, Warren immediately agreed that the 2016 primary was rigged by DNC. A few days later she flipped her position.
- #ElizabethWarren supported the Keystone XL pipeline; #BernieSanders opposed it.
- Bernie wants to forgive $81 billion in medical debt; Warren does not.
- He wants to eliminate all student debt; Warren does not; instead developed an unnecessarily complicated "plan."
- #ElizabethWarren voted for the Iraq war in 2002; #BernieSanders voted against it.
- Warren voted for surge in Afghanistan; Sanders voted against it.
- Warren voted FOR $700 billion increase in military budget, twice, (supporting Trump); Sanders voted against it.
- #ElizabethWarren voted for Iran sanctions (war monger?); #BernieSanders vote against it.
- Warren agreed with sanctions against Venezuela
- Warren voted for Patriot Act, undermining our freedoms. Twice. Sanders voted against it both times.
- #ElizabethWarren claims she supports Campaign Finance Reform, yet raised tons of money from banks, Super PACs, and other "big money" donors. #BernieSanders never has.
- She intends to accept "big money" in the Presidential election ... Fails to see her hypocrisy.
- #ElizabethWarren claims she supports Campaign Finance Reform, but #BernieSanders wrote a constitutional amendment to reverse Citizens United.
- She has not responded whether she would end spying on U.S. citizens without warrant; Sanders promises to end this practice.
- #ElizabethWarren stated, "I can never condone Snowden's actions." Bernie stated that "Snowden was defending American freedoms."
- She said Assange is a "bad actor." Bernie said that the indictment of Assange is a "disturbing attack on the First Amendment."
- #ElizabethWarren stood & applauded when Trump said we'll never be a socialist country. Bernie did not.
- She claims she will rein in & regulate Wall Street, yet was in favor of repeal of Glass-Steagall act. Bernie has been consistent; wants to uphold Glass-Steagall.
- #ElizabethWarren insists "I'm a capitalist to my bones."
- She said TPP is the "gold standard in trade agreements. Bernie voted against it & condemns offshoring American jobs.
- She expressed support for NAFTA; Sanders voted against it; condemns offshoring jobs.
- #ElizabethWarren opposed a carbon tax to fight Climate Change; #BernieSanders proposed one.
- She said we need to "stand up to Iran" (supporting Trump). War mongering.
- She was silent on Standing Rock (shamefully). Bernie was there, in support of the Sioux.
- #ElizabethWarren tried to hide the fact that she did work for DOW. She claimed that she was an advocate for victims, yet she was being paid to work against victims and later used her campaign's legal team to pressure others to rewrite that history.
- #ElizabethWarren was a Republican until the age of 46 (!). It took her over 25 years to find herself (sort of). In contrast, Bernie Sanders has been consistent about his advocacy for the people his entire career.
- #ElizabethWarren raised tons of money from the military industrial complex. (Ratheon is headquarter in MA.) Bernie isn't in the pocket of big corporations.
- She advocated decriminalization of cannabis, but only after Sanders promised to legalize it. Another flip.
- #ElizabethWarren does not support single payer (i.e. Bernie Sanders' M4A Act of 2019); waffles & says there are "multiple pathways" & has said she wants to "get everybody at the table." (That is not a plan.) Her "plan" does not include the words "single payer."
- #ElizabethWarren's "plan" does not include the words "single payer," instead states "increase access to healthcare." That is code for insurance. Warren has no bill. In contrast, #BernieSanders introduced the M4A Act of 2019.
- #ElizabethWarren doesn't state that her plan will include doctor's visits, long term care, dental or mental care or exclude co-pays, deductibles & premiums. Only mentions "affordable mental health care." She initially co-signed Bernie's M4A, then backtracked.
-#ElizabethWarren just talks about "access to healthcare," which is code for "NOT Medicare For All."
She has been stockpiling "big money" from previous fund-raisers and is using a $10.4 million surplus from her 2018 Senate race to underwrite her 2020 bid. Hypocrisy.
- #ElizabethWarren did not endorse Bernie in 2016. Despite claiming to parallel Bernie's ideology, she stepped in line for the corrupt DNC because she thought that she had a chance at becoming Hillary Clinton's VP. Sorry, but that's greedy and self-serving.
- #ElizabethWarren said, "I wanna make a spirited defense of Joe Manchin." How does she propose to make "big structural changes" while bowing to neoliberals and conservatives?
- #ElizabethWarren supports Israel. Bernie has taken the opposite approach, arguing that Israel is responsible for the decline in the US-Israel relationship and pushes for the U.S. to be firmer in its line and more publicly critical of Israel on the Palestinian issue.
- #ElizabethWarren has a 75% ACLU rating; Sanders has a 93% rating.
- She didn't co-sponsor any of the four bills Bernie introcuded to expand Social Security in the last six years: S.478 in 2019, S.427 in 2017, S.371 in 2015 and S.500 in 2013.
- #ElizabethWarren endorsed Hillary Clinton, who praised Republican Henry Kissinger as her mentor. Warren exhibits poor judgement. Sanders accurately noted that Kissinger is effectively a war criminal.
- #ElizabethWarren lied. Repeatedly; claiming to be an American Indian, which landed her a position at Harvard as a "minority hire." Her falsified Texas Bar Assoc registration is in her own handwriting. Even submitted plagiarized recipes to a Native American cookbook.
