1/ HOW DEMS CAN DEFEAT TRUMP. No one will indict Trump. That leaves impeachment. Nancy Pelosi & others fear impeachment unless there's an "airtight case." Trump's greatest fear is release of his tax returns. That is where the "airtight case" of criminality lies.
2/ So, the path to impeaching Trump lies in getting his tax returns. Federal law says the House Ways & Means Committee, chaired by Dem Richard Neal, is entitled to those returns. New York State passed a law that when signed by Governor Cuomo will give Congress Trump's returns.
3/ There is one person, a Democrat, standing between Congress & the American public & Trump's tax returns.

1/ P. 2: The SC determined two main Russian attempts to influence the election: To sow social discord, and computer hacking.

There are no sealed indictments.

SC referred several matters to other offices for further action.

As far as obstruction of justice . . .
2/ SC decided "not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgement" about obstruction and hence did not reach a decision. SC set out the evidence on both sides.

The argument that a criminal president should not be indicted rests on the premise that it would destabilize the government and interfere with the president fulfilling his constitutional duties. Trump has destabilized the government already and he's attacked the Constitution.
For a criminal sitting president who has held himself above the law, indicting @realDonaldTrump would help restore the rule of law and, through his removal, would help restore political stability.
Arguing that indicting Trump would impede him fulfilling his duties overlooks how often he neglects his duties to advance his own self-interests.
