It has been truly inspiring to see how many of y’all (especially queers!) have refused the pinkwashing of tortured & killed Iraqis.

@rafaelshimunov When I got fully politically active on my own, it was to try to prevent the Iraq War. I’d always been in politics w my parents. But my dad died shorty after the ’03 invasion of Baghdad & then I was on my own to fight. So this trip down revisionist memory lane hits hard.
