I seem to have been reading variants on this headline for three years
I once heard on reasonable authority that the reason PM May came round to deal over no deal was security warnings. Looks like history may be repeating...
And in the detail, the plan for the spin... I suspect one side has moved rather a lot more than the other, but let's see if the detail can in fact be worked out
There's still a long way to go though. A lot of detail to make a deal. And I don't see the ERG or DUP conceding quietly. Because once a deal, never no deal. And almost certainly in the future a close relationship with the EU. Big week ahead.
As ever the more detailed version comes from @pmdfoster... Now time to read the rest of the papers...

That would be simultaneous negotiation with EU, US and Japan, to reach agreements with all three in three years. Start with three of the four biggest global markets. Without knowing what you want from any of the agreements beyond 'free trade' however defined.
Will look forward to seeing whether the Trade Bill says anything about the arrangements by which these new agreements will be scrutinised. And perhaps a clause about realistic expectations from a Secretary of State
The UK should not look to quickly negotiate trade agreements with huge markets after Brexit. We first need to know what our actual interests are and will be in ten years time. This takes time. A political decision, likely to cost us.

Apparently this... (it would by any standards be complete lunacy to leave the EU with no-deal if you had agreed to a deal but run out of time to implement in Parliament. Bouncing Parliament into passing with no scrutiny not much better)

Sorry it is incompatible to see EU red lines as real and UK ones as invented, or vice versa. They both reflect what the governments of the day believe. They may change, but until they do... and yes I see this from both sides of the UK Brexit debate
