Pleased to have a conversation with Senator @LindseyGrahamSC this morning. Our first order of business was to agree that we must have a bipartisan, bicameral joint resolution to overturn the President’s dangerous decision in Syria immediately.
Next, we must put together the strongest bipartisan, bicameral sanctions package similar to the bipartisan bill the House is advancing.
As we find ourselves in a situation where the President gave a green light to the Turks to bomb and effectively unleashed ISIS, we must have a stronger sanctions package than what the White House is suggesting.

.@realDonaldTrump is flailing. Reversing sanctions against Turkey for brutally attacking our Kurdish partners in exchange for a sham ceasefire seriously undermines the credibility of America’s foreign policy and sends a dangerous message to our allies and adversaries alike.
This sham ceasefire does nothing to stop thousands of ISIS from prisoners from escaping, and shows the President’s complete lack of strategy to defeat ISIS.
Yesterday, the House sent an overwhelming bipartisan message demanding a clear strategy to defeat ISIS, and the Senate should do the same immediately.

Yet @SenateMajLdr McConnell continues to put his own political survival before the survival of our children.
Today, we made it clear to @realDonaldTrump that any proposal he endorses that does not include the House-passed universal background checks legislation will not get the job done, as dangerous loopholes will still exist and people who shouldn’t have guns will still have access.

Apologies in advance for the angst, but I was thinking too hard about what would happen if, early on, when Hank still very much hated Connor, Con got himself into a Bad Situation all alone.

Hank's at the bar, still trying to drink to forget, freshly pissed that he's forced
to work with his new android partner. No, not even that, because a thing /can't/ be a partner. Connor is getting on his nerves hard. They've clashed over their approach, over Hank's drinking, over Connor's stupid pushiness and manufactured innocence, as fake as the rest of him.
Connor mostly still struggles with understanding Hank, but he's growing to understand/himself/ a bit better, and he knows he's intrigued, and even likes Hank a bit, when he's not being an ass or ignoring Connor or the case they're supposed to be on.

He knows it's not mutual.

Pence's Canada trip seemed like a desperate move to reignite momentum - given what Democrats are demanding (e.g. rolling back protections for Big Pharma), the Republicans don't want to give.
