Dem aide 2/: POTUS Said fewer than 100 ISIS prisoners escaped. He said twice they were “The least dangerous” ones.

o Sec Esper confirmed the number (less than a 100) but didn’t acknowledge the president’s decision that they were the “least dangerous”.

Dem aide 3/: Schumer .... pressed Sec Def to answer if he agreed w the president’s description (that the escaped ISIS fighters were the least dangerous) ... Sec Def Esper: “I don’t know that.”

Gen Milley said “ISIS is defeated not destroyed’. He added “they could reconstitute.”

Dem aide 4/: · Only two Republicans spoke in the meeting (and it wasn’t until Pelosi, Hoyer, Schumer left): Reps. McCaul and Cheney

Dem aide 5/ - this one:

The meeting devolved into the president calling the speaker a name. He was quite nasty, so she stood up to go. She started to sit back down but Rep Hoyer got her to go. Pelosi and Hoyer walked out of the meeting.

Dem aide 6/6:

Schumer stayed back for a minute or two to press Sec Esper on whether we had specific Intel that the Turks or Syrians would definitely guard the other ISIS prisoners. Sec Esper said they don’t have any such reports.
