The DUP makes a big and important point here. East-west checks create new costs for NI businesses and there's concern that supermarkets/big retailers with bases there could leave.
But of course, the DUP supported last week's proposals when pretty much every NI business group opposed them
A spox for FSB NI says "the devil will be in the detail" but warns that a "bureaucratic" approach to east-west checks will be "costly and highly unwelcome" for NI business 

They say the deal is the "engineers drawing for the super car" and they need to see how it'll be made
