No matter the outcome Monday I will never forgive #Scheer, #HamishMarshall & their cadre who have acted like pondscum, knowing they had nothing of substance - ir they couldn't hit the #Libs on economic record - they opted for a very American campaign of unrelenting lies
knowing that the sheer volume would overwhelm & create suspicion, sneak under the cognitive brain & stick in subconscious. They appealed to the very worst instincts & fears of Cdns & slyly courted votes from racists, homophobes, anti-abortion nuts & more dangerous types.
They did this consciously, a shamelessly hypocritical & pandering deathbed conversion to caring about womens rights, Indigenous people, people of colour - as long as they could weaponize it against #Trudeau w/warheads of bullshit.
They knew they had an Ed ward Scissorhands inhumane cut cut cut platform that's sympatico w/#DougFord & #JasonKenney which is unacceptable to the majority of Cdns so kept it hidden from view until AFTER the final debate.
Instead continuing to spread lies from their official Twitter page, only days ago accusing #Trudeau of 'secretly working to bring Cdn born terrorists back to Canada' which is an outright lie but appealed to their trolls & CHUD that would spread it.
Present #CPC are a monstrous hive of scum & villainy that make the denizens of Mos Eisley Cantina look like Habitat for Humanity volunteers. They had a weak candidate & bad platform so poisoned Cdn politics until we all became sick from the toxicity.
Also part of their plan - borrowed from their US campaign advisers - make progressive voters so sickened by the whole process that they lose the enthusiasm & motivation to vote.
The unapologetic conduct of #CPC this election - not 20 years ago - TODAY, may have forever set us down a US-style path designed to divide us, suppress our desire to vote & drive good ppl away fro considering public service in politics. And yes, there ARE good honest politicians.
But after this campaign, who would subject themselves to this kind of shit? Just animated bags of feces like the present #CPC leadership.
#AndrewScheer is a shady, deceptive, a serial liar who embraces hatred & haters and distracts by screaming "#Trudeau!", his version of "Squirrel!" or street-hockey players yelling "Car!" whenever called on his shit by the largely lazy Cdn media.
It's easy to give in to the cynicism, to the manufactured doubt in other leaders who have actual human virtues, to think 'they're all scum & liars' and a pox on all of them. That's what #CPC wants. The Dark Side of the Force.
Don't give in. Right now we're like Luke in that rotted tree on Dagobah in Empire Strikes Back. We've faced the darkness in ourselves; some chose to use #Trudeau to virtue-signal their way past their own guilt from past mistakes.
Let's not give in to that. We're Canadians. We believe in charity, camaraderie, strength through diversity, live and let live, respect and dignity for all. We're an example to the word how people who would be enemies elsewhere can be friends here.
