did u know that in parts of the country u can go through an entire supermarket + only find a handful of items, sometimes only one (excluding like, tomatoes) that dont have sugar, corn syrup, or soybean oil? have done this multiple times. this is my struggle, i bear it willingly
just went through a supermarket and every single thing even resembling bread has sugar in it. 95% of the meat has straight up sugar or high fructose corn syrup, or weird things like “refined corn syrup solids”. what political party will make this illegal
i actually feel bad for all the people that im surrounded by here because they think theyre eating reasonably by getting plain bologna or a roast chicken and would never think to check the ingredients to see that its actually like a liminal “meat candy”, not “real food”
this is a perfect example of the free market failing because given a free space to compete and an uneducated populace, large companies just make their food sweeter and sweeter to trick peoples brains and then we all just die from eating what should be normal grocery store food
