One of the things that’s struck me about Trump’s moves in Syria is that he approaches foreign policy like he’s the head of a much weaker country.

Theoretically this would be a good thing for anti-imperialists. It’s really not…
Trump’s foreign policy (using the word ‘policy’ loosely) is completely warped by his greed and narcissism. We’re the dominant superpower, but he doesn’t think or act like it because personally, he’s not half as rich as Putin or the Saudi royal family.
Trump is weakening American empire, but in a way that cedes power to countries with even less regard for human rights and democracy. This is only good if all you object to is American imperialism, not imperialism in general.

Three weeks ago Rudy went on ABC and waved around an affidavit recently “made at the request of lawyers for Dmitry Firtash”. Giuliani’s close associates Toensing and DiGenova are Firtash’s lawyers. They got the job thru Rudy’s assistant Lev Parnas, who did translation for them.
.@AshaRangappa_’s point applies here too. Trumpworld lawyers worked with Firtash to produce Shokin’s affidavit, but Rudy’s been claiming he had nothing to do with it. They laundered the affidavit thru Toensing and diGenova.
@AshaRangappa_ Giuliani helped Toensing and diGenova push bogus Ukraine stories in the media. Behind the scenes, Giuliani was referring Ukrainian clients to them - including at least one of the corrupt ex-prosecutors.

Kabuki theater like this is why CNN keeps hiring hacks like Duffy. When one party’s actions are indefensible, it takes a toady to defend them. The problem for democracy is this means CNN keeps broadcasting propaganda.
News that aims to inform you tells you when it’s raining. News that simply aims to engage you has one guest insist it’s sunny. These constant cable spots with Trump toadies aren’t journalism. They’re a vehicle for gaslighting.

True VR (6dof heads and hands) has until now been very user unfriendly: high cost, need of a tethered computer, complicated set up with external sensors, and a long time to vr from boot, especially with troubleshooting drivers and other issues. The @Oculus Quest solves all this!
