It really distresses me when well-meaning people refuse to have their children vaccinated. Vaccination works not only individually, but socially, creating #HerdImmunity. Refusing vaccination might feel right-on, but in reality it's antisocial: theguardian.com/society/2019/o…
Wildly irresponsible journalism costs lives.
I wonder how many people this column killed.
I'm glad the Daily Mail has now changed its tune on vaccination.
But we shouldn't quickly forget its culpability on this issue.

Actually, large numbers of humans did not survive. They died of infectious diseases. If unvaccinated people escape these plagues today, it is because other people have been vaccinated. Those who refuse to have their kids vaccinated are free riders.
