Just behind @RBI Headquarters in Mumbai.

About a week back.

Time : 8 PM.

2 young gentlemen, in their early thirties, were discussing their jobs.

Both from RBI.

Both, candid & forthright.

Both, expressing dismay over the functioning.

Especially, about #PMC bank fiasco & the reasons behind it.

I was all ears.

Just when the topic of #DeMoScam came up.

Me: Excuse me. Sorry to butt in your convo, please tell me about the window for exchange of old notes (SBNs) which was open for nearly 18 months after due date

Both : We don't know of any such secret window where old notes were exchanged, even 28 months after the official closure date.

Me: Be truthful guys. You're officially drunk & confessing unofficially. It stays here. I don't even know your names to quote you.

Both : You mean RBI exchanged old notes on the sly ??

Me: yeah !

Both : We don't know. And probably it didn't happen.

Me: did you read about huge cache of old notes getting caught - after 25-28 months of #DeMoScam ?

Both : yes. We've read about it.

Me : Okay ! Then explain to me - why would anyone take old notes & offer 50% amount in new notes ??? Unless, those people had a window for exchange ??

Both : Sannata......No answer.

One : You have a point.

That's the story of #DeMoScam !

We all were fooled. Looted.

And, someone made big money ! Black money !!

And, we would never know !

We all are rank chutiyas !
