1) Okay, I'm on a break, and we all know my limited superpower is asking "how?" when confronted with batshit right wing conspiracies and plans, so I'll ask, and would love answers, about this:

2) I mean, if you're a lone dude with some friends, night of, you grab your guns, you go out and kill -- who? Seize what? Apply pressure how? Are you going to seize government facilities? What government facilities even matter near where you live?
3) At that size you're basically a terrorist cell, and all you can do is disrupt services, maybe blow some power plants. At that point the surrounding population sees you as the assholes who killed the power to ... no greater effect.
4) Maybe you escalate to ... killing authority figures? You're just terrorists, maybe insurgents, and brother, insurgency is REALLY FUCKING HARD.
5) Unless you BECOME the authority figures in your area, and that means you're seizing territory in organization with other groups. You have that level of command and control in place? And now that you have territory, you ready to lose all the advantages you had of insurgency?
6) Look, I'm not making light of this. I'm pointing out that most of these guys think they're going to go out and join the 122nd Trump Militia night of, when instead they'll have to pit themselves against the world's greatest military AND local law enforcement in scattered groups
7) And the more organized they become, the bigger targets they are, the harder their logistics problems get (amateurs, professionals, you know the quote) and absent turning the entire military -- which is why you DO that in a coup -- doomed to fail.
8) But even if you get SOME cops or SOME military -- what's next? Seize control of the Red States? Come to California and seize control of Los Angeles? You wanna patrol hostile Los Angeles, Ump? Ask the kids who did a couple tours in Iraq how much fun that is.
9) I totally get how, in this scenario, we wind up with endless white supremacist terrorism. What I don't get is how we wind up with anything resembling what THEY have in their heads as a "civil war", absent the complete co-option of multiple branches of the military.
10) At best, you splinter off a few states that not a single international entity will deal with (except maybe Russia as a spoiler force, and congrats on confirming EVERYTHING your opponents were saying). Probably landlocked, unless you want to run apartheid states in the SE
11) I know, I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm paid to think in very weird hypotheticals, and I do not know, absent a separate disaster that destroys US infrastructure, what the hell the endgame is here. xx
