Jacob Rees-Mogg (12 July 2016): "Many people wanted to leave the EU because they feel disconnected from the politicians who are supposed to represent them. To this extent it was an anti-establishment movement similar to those on the Continent and in the United States." Hmm.
So according to him, some Leave voters voted Leave as a protest vote. At least that's what he claimed immediately after the referendum. But now his tune has changed. Perhaps that's why the article has vanished from his website?

Got some bad news for you. After Brexit, every single consignment from the EU will attract duties. So you'll have a notice to pay, and you'll have to trundle along to the Post Office and pay the duty plus an £8 handling fee. *There is no minimum purchase amount*. Thanks, Brexit!
I covered this in more detail in my book, but that's the gist of it. Magically other delivery firms e.g. ParcelForce also charge the exact same £8 handling fee. So imagine something that costs £10 from the EU now. After Brexit, it will cost £20 (£10 + £2 VAT + £8 handling fee).
What goes for us goes for the EU too. So if you're a UK business sending stuff to EU customers your product is magically going to be more expensive for them, and more hassle to receive.

"Tories deny plan to compromise workers' rights after Brexit" Kwasi Kwarteng says there's no truth to it. So that's all right then. Because everyone knows that Kwasi Kwarteng's word is stronger than any international treaty. We can all stop worrying. theguardian.com/politics/2019/…
Of course, if you're a rare reprobate who prefers to trust in treaties, what you need to know is the Tories have moved a commitment to maintain EU standards out of the legally binding Withdrawal Agreement and into the non-binding Political Declaration, giving it zero weight.
On top of that, Brexiters are on record on numerous occasions as lauding the potential to liberalise UK rules after Brexit (ie make them worse, because we can already improve on EU rules as a member). But Kwasi Kwarteng's assurance trumps everything else of course.

Oh, look. It's the Operation Brock traffic jam kicking in already. The roads have only been closed a few hours, and already the queue is building.

And if your first thought is "why are they stopping traffic 6 days before Brexit?" the answer's dead simple: propaganda.

I discussed the thing with Jacob Rees-Mogg & his kid on the radio this morning.
Shouting Nazi at someone who's not a Nazi IS WRONG especially in front of their child.
But bringing your kid to an event with 100,000s of your political opponents doesn't protect you from being booed.
Jacob Rees-Mogg advocated giving people a second referendum on Cameron's renegotiation, but refuses to now, so yes, he's authoritarian. He's also right-wing. But he's not an actual Nazi. So it's wrong to shout it, and even 'wronger' for his kid to hear it.
Does booing someone count as harassment? No.
Does shouting inaccurate abuse at them count as harassment? I'd say so.
Does ganging up on someone WITHOUT a police escort, hurling abuse and physically blocking them from entering their work count? Absolutely.

A Northern Irish MP just pointed out that the new #TradeBill will create a border in Northern Ireland. Fox said that it included a proposal to avoid that. Yeah, but Jacob Rees-Mogg's amendment makes it impossible for the EU to accept it!!!!
Explanation:
#TradeBill had a customs arrangement whereby the UK would collect tariffs on behalf of the EU so there wouldn't need to be a hard border in Northern Ireland thus protecting the Good Friday Agreement. The Mogg amendment says the EU must do it for the UK too or no deal
The EU has already said no to that. So Jacob Rees-Mogg and his ERG extremists have just put a poisoned pill in the #TradeBill which not only pushes us towards No Deal, but threatens to rip up the Good Friday Agreement.
