@BreitbartNews Democrats are also trying to claim due process does not apply in the House, which they liken to a "grand jury" (there is some basis for that). The Republicans point out, correctly, that a) impeachment is not ordinary crime; b) if it's like a grand jury, why are Democrats leaking?
@BreitbartNews The Democrats are also protecting every loophole in the resolution -- the committees are *authorized* to report to the Judiciary Committee but might not; the resolution provides for *some* open hearings, but not all; etc. They are backing a cover-up with no appearance of fairness

Of course the difference there was that the Benghazi hearing was not an impeachment inquiry. It was about fact-finding not removal from office
And with that...Democrats have defeated the Republican amendment on straight party lines to allow @realDonaldTrump legal representation in all the committees pursuing impeachment prior to Judiciary with no guarantee of reviewing evidence. This whole thing is a joke #shampeachment
