I've deleted my earlier tweet because it was inaccurate. Turns out Trump and Pence's HHS is proposed a federal regulation in which ALL programs receiving federal funding will be permitted to discriminate against LGBTQ people, religious minorities, women, etc.
That means programs related to foster care, adoption, HIV and STI prevention, youth homelessness, refugee resettlement, elder care programs and more. All of it.

All of these programs will be permitted to turn away LGBTQ people, religious minorities, etc.
This is all horrifically true. Trump and Pence have proposed a regulation that would allow ALL programs that receive funding from HHS to discriminate against LGBTQ people, religious minorities, etc. hrc.org/blog/hrc-trump…

I agree with Bernie Sanders on this premise. He's right. You can't predict 100% what a plan will do with a tax system this complex.

But I disagree that anyone is demanding this. The request--and it's a valid one--is for a rough sketch of how this will work.
And before some of his supporters get angry, I want to be clear: I love his policy proposals, particularly Medicare for All. I'm onboard.

But he needs to illustrate how we're going to pay for it beyond bumper sticker lines.
In trying to determine who to support in this primary, this has been my biggest concern with Sanders. His ideas are powerful and beautiful. His vision for getting them across the finish line is extremely cloudly, at best. That worries me.

Americans are once again allowing the Republican and Democrat party divide us over race, when in fact race is not the issue! Please look at the foreign policies these woman support, and the policies they do not support! This is not about race & we must address the real issues!
