- People:
"Be a strong woman"
"Speak up"
"Stand your ground"

Woman:
*Becomes strong*
*Speaks up*
*Stands her ground*

- Also people:
"Why are you so difficult?"
"Relax"
"You're too unpleasant"
Mind you, 80 to 90% of the time we're generally just telling you what is upsetting/disrespectful/demeaning to us, and asking for a bit of understanding in the matter.
This resonated with lots of you. I've mentioned it before. It's one of my biggest conflicts with being deemed any kind of role model.

In my case, I wish women who have had hard lives could be seen as strong, without requiring them to hide the bad to make us more "palatable".
I'm at the point in exposure where when approached by certain people for engagements, I'm literally asked to keep focus away from my days of domestic abuse and homelessness *because* it's not something parents want their girls to know.

I think that's stuff everyone should know.
When you see a woman having opinions, standing her ground, being unapologetic... that didn't happened from one day to the next. That took a process, that took life experiences.

Think about it, before you dismiss them as just:
Bitter
Difficult
Arrogant
Unpleasant.
The amount of men that have unfollowed, and/or message me to argue this tweet since yesterday is outstanding. Now I'm even happier that I posted it, as I once said:
It is literally trash taking itself out.
To the rest of the men who actually understand, know you're the exception.
