I tried to buy an ENS domain. The state of things made me sad:

1. Metamask & Coinbase don't interoperate. I couldn't find a web3 coinbase browser.

2. When I tried to send crypto to Metamask, this happened: "You are currently unable to buy and sell digital currency on Coinbase."
Are things better than they seem or is it really this challenging right now?
Here I thought I was in control of my money :(
Strongly considering moving all my crypto out of Coinbase :(
Conclusion: It was easier to convince a stranger on the Internet to pay me $20 in eth than it was to use the normal tools to buy a domain.

Good news: Lots of opportunity to improve things right now!

Why do insurance companies make you file claims with snail mail? Who solves this?

Legitimately asking for myself: I don't want to fill out a form, find an envelope/stamp, mail it, and then have to remember to check up on it to ensure I saved money.
Is it just Cigna being archaic and all the other insurance co let you file claims electronically?

Is there no-code/minimal-code equivalent for writing smart contracts yet?
Crypto/blockchain related, not legal!

spotted first by @stephendpalley, the order in Berk v. #Coinbase is big for #crypto & maybe for #clickwrap & #browsewrap agreements too. First, the court says that having a policy barring insider trading doesn’t prevent claims for insider trading occurring on platform /1
Tort duties existed outside of its contract w/users. Existence of a mandatory user agreement doesn't matter- negligence is actionable separate & apart from any contractual remedies & Coinbase had a duty of reasonable care to its traders “originating outside of the agreement.”/2
California law (perhaps uniquely?) recognizes a duty to protect against economic loss: elements: “[1] the extent to which the transaction was intended to affect the plaintiff, [2] the foreseeability of harm to him, [3] the degree of certainty that the plaintiff suffered injury/3

A few too-long-didn't-listen takeaways: many #cryptoassets are shaping up as supply-side focused instruments that'll accrue value for providing suppliers access to "value-flows," similar to how a stock provides access to "cash-flows." Demand-side may not need native token at all.
Such #cryptoassets are more a replacement for equities, than for currencies, and majority of value will be projected via "discounted-value-flow" (DVF) models.

For those that have a demand-side component, there is likely to be an MV = PQ sleeve, requiring sum-of-the parts models
