REALLY, @GaSecofState?

Every single county that piloted the new machines had problems.

(THREAD) #gapol
Even before Election Day, the pilot program was a flop, with @GaSecofState reducing the number of handpicked pilot counties from ten to six (out of 159) because he could not get 10 counties ready in time.
All six of @GASecofState's handpicked counties are heavily Republican. The most populous county tested was Georgia’s 13th largest. No urban counties were tested. No counties in which voters of color are a majority were tested.
Again, all of the counties tested had problems. 100 percent. Statewide, that would be 159 of 159 counties.

@GaSecofState even stood outside of a Paulding County polling location and bragged to a reporter about the machines at the same time that county was experiencing problems.
The problems were well documented. Does @GaSecofState read the newspaper?

“A glitch with Georgia’s new voter check-in computers caused delays [in multiple counties]… voters… left without casting their ballots” (AJC)
“Election officials in Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa, Decatur, Lowndes and Paulding counties reported technical issues with new equipment, either with electronic entry points or with the new ballot-marking machines themselves.” (Georgia Recorder)
“…some precincts in Bartow, Catoosa and Carroll counties saw ballot-marking machines suddenly shut down and reboot during voting hours.” (Georgia Recorder)

Yikes!

“In Decatur County... some voters waited 45 minutes for the problem to be fixed.” (AJC)
“...voters making final checks caught mistakes... ‘at least two voters paid attention to their ballots after they printed them out,’” the election director said. (Northwest Herald)

Oof...
“Problems with memory cards [in Lowndes County] have forced election officials to count paper ballots,” the election director said. (Valdosta Times)

"Seamless," huh @GaSecofState?
“Carroll County... Poll Pads... were not programmed correctly and would not produce the cards... Some voters at five of the nine precincts were delayed” (11Alive)

That's not good!
“‘...three or four’ of the new voting machines... malfunctioned [in Carroll County…] one that wouldn’t accept cards to load voters’ ballots, and another shut down and rebooted as a voter was using it.” (New York Times)
“Bartow County Elections Supervisor Joseph Kirk said some of the Poll Pads weren’t functioning properly” (AJC)

Poll workers [in Bartow, Carroll, Decatur, Lowndes, and Paulding Counties] weren’t able to create voter access cards on new voting check-in computers” (AJC)
“We have seen great success... operations have been seamless... We cannot wait to roll out our machines to all 159 counties this March.” –@GaSecofState

Tuesday's turnout was a tiny faction of voters who will vote in the March primary. Raffensperger isn't ready. Not even close.
Were you or someone you know one of the many voters who experienced problems in the six counties using new machines?
