Dear ultra religious folks, you can't become super religious, turn young kids off and then simultaneously complaint why are young kids abandoning religion at the rate of knots. They are rejecting it because of your rigidity. If you want religious purity you will sacrifice nos.
Always remember this you cannot have it both ways. Either become a small exclusive club with rigid rules or become a large open club with minimal rules & people have superficial ties. Historically all rigid lifestyles eventually lose out to other options with more freedom.
It happens with every single club that becomes rigid. They can't sustain it with large nos. Because people can't take it. They break up and form new groups or they just abandon the whole thing altogether.
Even in terms of evolution and its parameters we plural platform will work better in the long run. Even in economics a free market works better than a rigid socialist state. Freedom always works better than top down control mechanisms.
Get rid of your recency bias of Islam & open yourself to this reality. Apostasy in the Islamic world is rising like crazy. Just check the downloads of the Arabic version of the God Delusion of Dawkins as an eg. Now many more books have been translated in Arabic, Persian, Urdu.
The None's (no religion at all) is 25% in USA the most religious western nation. People eventually get turned off from religion if it becomes too rigid. All they need to see is an option with more freedom. The Islamists are trying to bully but inspite of that atheism is rising.
All religious denominations which keep on adapting, change with the changing moral arch using mental gymnastics eventually attract the young kids. You may not like it but these are brute facts. And Islam will also lose eventually. If they think they can bully people they're wrong
Imagine how brutal Islamism is, inspite of that apostasy is rising in the Islamic world. Every country has an uprising of blasphemers. The moment they get to read alternative material they start questioning the orthodoxy. The internet is a 2 way street. It helps both sides.
They kill Bangladeshi bloggers monthly. But more kids become bloggers inspite of the threat. It is simply amazing to see what is happening. But obviously people with their own biases are not seeing the obvious.
Each & every person who is mentioning Islam again & again in this thread just doesn't get the fact that even their world is facing the problem of apostasy. And no one said the battle against Islam isn't real. The point is if they become super rigid (which they are) they'll lose.
Also, if you're a Hindu don't even try the Islam route. I know many over here do think that is the best way. But mark my words you'll lose whatever little you have with yourself too. Baaki maje karo, hum to Charvaka hai, will happily accept more people on my side 😈😈😈.
