1) Please, for your own sake (because follow-back people are emotional): do NOT follow me in expectation of a "follow-back". I may or may not follow you (not "back) if you contribute relevant content or we engage in meaningful (to me) interaction.
2) I have explained about a dozen times why the follow-back system does NOT work in political activism in terms of actually promoting action. It is important for the RIGHT WING to keep their cult in line.
3) If you identify as "pro-democracy", "resistance", "anti-fascist", etc., this is NOT how to accomplish digital activism. Actually, it works against productive action.
4) What do I do? I keep lists. The most important accounts for me to follow and take action on are not the outraged and sad self-identified "resister". That usually adds nothing to my action.
5) The relevant accounts are organizations (and they won't follow anyone back) and content producing professionals. I don't follow most of them: I have them on lists.
6) I assure you that if you follow this method you can take action faster than if you have a cluttered timeline with outraged and sad people. You won't have the illusion of not being alone though.
7) The illusion of not being alone, provided by thousands of followers, if you are just someone lost and powerless with no specific skills, can lead you to suicide. Here's why:
8) You want a big following because you are in mental suffering. Possibly depression and a complex stressful environment. The illusion of not being alone (you are not less alone because of a huge Twitter following if you are not a content producer with a unique voice)...
9) ... may shatter your fragile sanity the moment you realize it is an illusion.
10) Good luck. I hope you understand now that I have solid political science and psychology reasons to not engage in follow-back-parties.
